I have now flown this with both an Android app and an iPod app. The iPod app seems to be more solid and responsive of the two. However, the helicopter is a bit balky about responding to control. I expected better, but it's okay if you're flying in a large enough room, at least until you get a good feel for the aircraft. It is definitely an indoor only flyer. It doesn't take much breeze at all to disrupt it. I discovered that my air conditioner, across the room and on low needed to be shut off entirely or it would make control almost impossible. Mine has a tendency to want to drift to the right all the time and I can't seem to trim it out of the habit. I have to keep giving it rudder so that it flies in a circle rather than just sideways. It's not horrible but it is annoying.
The little guy is pretty rugged though. I've crashed it into walls and furniture often and it takes it without damage. It feels hefty and solid in the hand, it offers a lot of confidence that way. The best way to fly it is to apply throttle quickly and make it jump a couple of feet off the floor. Low to the ground its own rotor wash makes it too skittery for s low and gentle take off. Once in the air though, it is pretty controllable. Like I said, I wish it was a bit more responsive, but it's a lot of fun to fly around. It's no Blade mCX, but then again at about $30 it's a great little diversion to play with.

Thus heicopter is a great first helicopter to ow. It is duravle to survive all your crashes as you learn. If you are planing on running it on Android, doubl check the sima website for compatability list.

the neighbor kid has one and won't share... I had to get one of my own! So fun. Best toy ever. Everyone needs to get one because you won't want to share it either
