First off, let me be fair in saying that this RTF Corsair in this larger size was really my only option. I usualy buy from NitroPlanes, but they never seem to have anything in stock, so I took a chance on this one. I was pretty disappointed as soon as I opened the box. The quality of the components is all over the map. The gull wings have some nice wooden supports glued into them like spars, so they appear stong. The aileron servo wires were falling off, they used some kind of cheap glue or similar. The paint job is horrible, this plane overall looks like it has been through the mill and back again. As is usual with these kits made in China, just throw the manual in the trash. Half of the instructions don't even match the appropriate steps. If you have any experience building kits, you probably don't need it, so save your self the headache. Many of the predrilled screw holes don't match up with the backer nuts, and the cheap aluminum screws provided (especially the motor mount)are NOT going to work without doing some drilling. Two of the backer nuts came loose as I was trying to tighten the screws.
The cowling that came in the kit has the fake radial engine HOT GLUED in three places, (actually only two on mine) and is ready to fall off. It is also cut out of round. The other two practically melted through the cowling, it looks very poor, and you cannot fix it. The transmitter looks and feels like something you would get with an AIRHOGS rc plane at WalMart. Junk. If you look at it funny or breathe on it, it might break.
The horizontal and vertical stabilizer are glued on. If you wreck it, that is probably the end. The kit is maddening because some things are done fairly well for a foam model, but others are so poor you will want to scream. When I put the landing gear together, the wheels rubbed on the gear cover if they were retracts. They are made of wood, so I trimmed about one third off to make it fit. Check all of the screws on everything, many were loose.
You are supposed to glue the canopy on according to the manual, but mine was already glued on and I am beginning to wonder if this was a return, and maybe that is why it is so beat up. The spinner for the three bladed prop that comes in the kit has the mounting off center inside the spinner, so if I try to use it, it will run out of round, shake the plane and look almost as bad as the cowling.
I should have returned it, but my boys are excited about it, so I am going to give it a whirl. Wish me luck. Maybe you should look elsewhere for a more quality kit, especially at that price. I will let you know how it turns out.

this title is not right it is not at all ready to fly / RTF. The build takes a while and it can't fly great and it is hard to control but other then that it is an okay plain
