After reading some nice reviews about this helicopter, I decided to order one. First impressions - the helicopter itself is well built. The instructions, although brief, are adequate. The remote is a different matter. The decals on the remote were put on sloppily, and crooked. I had to peel off the main decal and reposition it because I couldn't stand the big wrinkle it had in it. The remote powers up in advanced mode, but I couldn't tell because a decal covered the indicator lamp. I had to poke a hole in it so I could see the light. First flight - very difficult to control. After inspecting the rotor and swash plate I found the front piece on the swash plate that acts as a vertical guide was sticking in it's rails. A drop of lube cleared that up. Second flight was great. Very stable, smooth, and easy to hover. I was shocked when the freshly charged battery died after only three minutes. I had read about short battery life, and I have a larger battery on order. Later in the day, I re-charged the battery, and went outside for another flight. I powered on the remote, powered on the helicopter, and .....nothing. The remote refuses to bind. I have tried dozens of times, with no luck. I have contacted the seller about returning it. I hope mine was just a bad one, because this helicopter is exactly what I am looking for, and I would love to get a good one to really see what it can do. If I get a fully functioning unit, I am sure I will change to a much higher rating.
UPDATE - This company was great handling my return - excellent communication. Received a brand new helicopter from them to replace the non-functioning one. First impression on the new one - still not happy with the remote. The new one had the EXACT same decal flaws as the first one! After a charging, I took it out to fly. A little trimming and I was hovering - for about 30 seconds. The battery died and it fell out of the sky. Its well built so no damage at all. I recycled the power to the remote and helicopter, and it started up again. I flew around for about 1 minute and the battery died again. I did this repeatedly for 5 or 6 times. Very frustrating. I took the helicopter inside and switched out to the replacement battery I had bought. NOW I can fly! This thing flies great. I found that the remote should be kept in advanced mode - if you don't it's not responsive enough. I really like the larger size of this helicopter, and the smoothness of its flight. I have upped my rating to 4 stars - I just can't give it 5 based on the issues I've had, but, if you get a good one, you will be very happy with it.

The scorpion is a good 4 channel... Does good in the wind .. And easy to trim out.. Very durable in flying accidents.. I have owned several 4 channels and its one of the best... I have owned all the double horse helicopters... And it blows away the 9116 and 9117 double horse.. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars . Is the battery would not charge... I read about this on other reviews.. But get you a 850 mah lipo battery and this bird will fly great.. About 10 minutes..
