I bought this only to have something a little larger than the Syma's S107G size helis, and for the same price. It came in a nice box, with cheapy controller as usual, but works fine. This hardly known brand make nice helis too, as for this one, it's solid, those small vertical and horizontal fins (they call them stabilizers) are made of small pieces of shinny metal not plastic, and are good looking and sturdy. It flies extremely well, and again being a little bigger than those Syma S107's, it's fun to fly around your living room. Lights, lots of lights, they drive me nuts! There's no button to turn them off. I will have to open it up and disconnect those lights. My kid loves it though; and my wife calls it a flying Xmas tree...LOL! Fun!
Addition 06/28/2012. Transmitter binding - Some of you if run into binding problem like i had, there is a trick. When both the heli and the transmitter are turned on, all lights will flash in the heli and the red light on the transmitter is flashing, binding is in process; but sometime it may take a long time but they are still be in the binding mode. The trick is lower the throttle stick to its lowest position, turn on the transmitter (the red light will be flashing); then turn on the rc heli (all lights will be flashing there too), go back to the transmitter (while it is still on) and slowly move the throttle stick to its highest power (all the way up) - then lower it back to the lowest position (all the way down). Once you have reached the throttle's lowest position, it will have a solid bind right away with the heli(the red light on the transmitter stops flashing and stay solid). This techique works very well with other 2.4G rc heli models as well.
Update on performance 07/01/12. After a week of having fun, the last crash prevented it from lifting and staying up hovering. This is due to a crash against the wall and fell hard to the hard wood floor. The upper gear and the lower gear no longer working together, unless either turning left or right is applied, then it will rise but loose power right after the turns and started slowly descenting, it also cause heavy vibration. Checked 'rcdiscus' and found many pilots having the same problem with their birds. I think this is really a pilot error causing the crash and affecting the gears, otherwise, it is a good bird and fun to fly if you are being careful not crashing hard.
