This heli is a big, heavy machine, make no mistake. It can hurt you, so stay away from it while it is flying. It is not for kids.
It takes a lot of punishment. Some wind pushed it into the top of some trees more than 50 feet high, and it later came crashing to the ground and nothing was broken! It then flew fine afterwards.
The problem is with stability when descending. If you bring it down a little too fast, it will start rocking (pitch forward and backward) until the balance bar strikes the B (lower) blades and the heli crashes. The blades are a little too flexible, and if you apply full power they bend so much that they can strike the balance bar if there is a little wind, or if you maneuver. I experienced several crashes and replaced several blades this way. Never move controls from one extreme to the other- use slow control inputs.
Flight time is about 5-6 minutes, and the light show at night is amazing. Do not charge the battery until it cools off because it gets really hot by the time it is depleted. Do not try and fly if there is enough breeze that you can feel it. The tail rotor has little pitch authority and the heli will be taken away by a slight breeze.
The heli is otherwise fun to fly, but other than changing blades don't count on being able to repair it if something goes bad. Mine is idle now because the gear driving the "B" blades slips on the shaft, and I can not find a source for a new gear.

Excellent RC Helicopter for the novice. Takes a little practice to get it flying right, but once you get the hang of it - very enjoyable. The bonus is the LED lights, simply stunning in flight.
Word of caution, it's not as robust as some models and takes nothing more than a little whack to crack the canopy. My son dropped his from 6 feet and shattered the canopy. It's very lightweight alloy which has it's bad and good points. Bad because it will bend easily if (when) you crash it, good because most of the time you can just bend it back into shape.
Tip: When you start flying, start with a burst on the power until it's about 4 feet off the ground, then throttle back. This will stop it from tipping over due to turbulance, the rotors push quite a lot of air.
The Chopper arrived fast and when I received it, there was an issue with one wire that was not connected to the motor. Five minutes with a soldering gun and it was fixed. I did contact the seller and received nothing but the best support. Fast and very helpful, in fact I will be buying all my replacement parts, and future RC's from them.

We own several copters of various sizes. Most of the other reviews are accurate - but here are some hints. Most copters are designed with the CG where they want it, but it does not handle well in wind. Just add ballast inside nose cones on any copter and you will have a more stable flight. For this size we used a nut that goes on a 1/2" bolt super glued inside the nose (its about 1" across).
This copter has blades that will easily ding so it needs to be landed on a flat surface and not most lawns to prevent blade damage. It would be best to have experienced flyers land this on concrete.
