This is not to be confused with the coaxial TOY Huey's which swarm the market. This is an entry level collective pitch helicopter, and will require many hours of practice to become proficient at standard forward flight. If you are new to CP (collective-pitch) helicopters be prepared to crash A LOT. As far as replacement parts, Blade makes them affordable and easy to come by via the inter-webs or your local hobby shop. Expect to spend more than the initial cost of the helicopter itself in parts if you are just starting (though it would be advised to consider purchasing an RC flight-sim like Phoenix4 when you consider the overall cost of parts during the learning process). Don't let the other reviews fool you, RC helicopters are unstable by nature, and again will take many hours of practice to master; But, it's time well spent once you have.

Times they have-a-changed. I still stand by my previous statement but would lower the rating to say a 4 out of 5 stars if only to acknowledge the advancements that have come along in this hobby. If you are brand new to collective helis consider a Blade mCPx 2 or even the more advanced 130x and 300x. These all have VERY stable gyros which greatly enhance the beginner experiance AND the smaller mCPx / 130x can tolerate crashes far greater than their larger heavier counterparts. Still, don't believe for one second that means these, or any hoby grade heli is crash proof! Furthermore, if you can fly an mCPx, you can fly any collective pitch heli of nearly any scale-- this is truly a great starting point. If you simply must have the larger scale then the 300x is exactly the same size as the Blade SR (huey) but has much more potential for future growth as you develope your skill, but you won't be saving your wallet any in pure repair costs. However, the flybarless system alone is worth as much as the sum of parts that is the Blade 300x so...
That said, the 130x and 300x are much more advanced in terms of hardware and abilities compared to the mCPx (and especially the SR Huey) and are really better for intermediate pilots. Both of these little guys come ready-to-fly with many of the components found in much larger and more expensive helis, but wont "teach" you how to fly any better than the rugged little mCPx, which is still more advaned and agile than the SR. But I digress, if you REALLY want to learn to fly then get a flight-sim.

Not sure why everyone is reviewing so poorly. Perhaps you should stick to the cheap co-axial helicopters. For a 300ish sized helicopter I found it to be very stable and forgiving for someone looking to get into collective pitch helis.
