Received the Hawk Sky quickly and in prefect shape. Fun to fly and definitely a good choice for a beginner like me. My only complaint is the lack of instructions provided for assembly. This was the first time I touched an RC plane and could have used more help with directions and pics. I looked and looked online, but was unable to find assembly vids.

I have had the Hawk sky for about two weeks and just love it. There were some issues to work through during the assembly (feeding in the motor wires was difficult, then the rotation of the motor was backward). There were some things to work through on the first flights that if I had inspected the plane more carefully I should have caught. (Therefore it is a learning process). The more I have used the plane the more I like it (like most of the planes I have had). The landing gear is now off mine as it continued to come off, put a piece of packing tape on the bottom and land in the grass and it is great. The plane has plenty of motor, plenty of wing for long slow flight. Using the 1800 MAH supplied battery I had a 32 minute flight (longest of my life). Using more throttle can still get 20 minutes.
At low throttle the plane is sort of a lumbering glider - exactly what I expected. Give it some throttle and it moves nicely, good plane to grow your ability to fly. This is a popular plane with many users posts to help and youtube videos. If you don't think this plane can fly and get wild, check out some of the video's - way beyond where I am at.
Very glad I bought the Hawk Sky, great value on a well designed plane. Are there issues to work though? yep, but that is why RC flying is a challenging hobby.

i am a beginner and this is the plane for beginners. I found it flies even better with a lil epoxy on it (likes packing tape even better). get it trimmed and keep yer cool ! Keep away from the trees and close to home. under normal circumstances the hawk does everything it should. happy flying. OH POINTERS. keep the really small allen heads snugged on the engine. when assembling use a stiff small wire and put a 90 bend in it, pull all the eng wires out the small hole behind the eng pod. hook them up and push back in the hole. this gets them out of the way when you bolt down the engine. also provides easy access for future repairs and maintenance. don't know why it doesn't come with the eng wires coming out the back instead of the top but live and learn.
