This is a sturdy toy, but not a high performance model. Given the high cost of the boat, I was disappointed in its speed and maneuverability. It planes, but that's about it. And its turning radius at high speed is very wide. The battery does last a long time, but it is aggravatingly hard to put in and take out. The battery compartment is a bit too small for the size of the battery and the wires. The user manual is particularly poor. For example, there is a hole in the deck with a stopper, but no indication of what it's for. There are also steering and trim adjustments, but no explanation of how or why they should be used. Perhaps I was expecting too much, but if I had it to do over again, I wouldn't. I might pay $100 for it, but not $250.
