I'd buy it from a place you know you can return it to

Upon opening the shipping box, the end of the black plastic box that holds the battery was shattered and lying in pieces in the bottom of the box. The board cannot be ridden without it because the battery falls out. I contacted Amazon who contacted the seller who gave me a long distance number to call the manufacturer about the problem. Was transferred right into voicemail and left a message. It's been a week and no return call. Not really impressed with either seller nor manufacturer.
Also, be sure you understand which board you are getting because the pictures on Amazon weren't corresponding to the model I apparently ordered.
The board is jerky while learning and pretty fast so make sure you have helmet and other protective gear!

3/11/2013 UPDATE: Manufacturer finally returned my call after I left a second message. They would send out a new one after I take pictures of the damage and email them. I am just through with this whole product. I contacted seller to ask for a return shipping label to return it, but they won't pay the shipping back to them unless I want a replacement. This is ridiculous. $40 to return it, and won't order from them again!
