It is really a 1/8 scale buggy with a truck body on top. It comes with a clear buggy body for use as an overtray. I run it as a buggy most if the time. The truck body traps all the muck inside. The open wheeled buggy isn't nearly as messy. I like the bumpers which is good because you have leave them on. It claims to be waterproof. The receiver is in a box with a sealed lid however the entry point of the wiring into the box is not sealed. Well it is now, plus I put the receiver into a balloon and cable tied it for added protection. Three weeks in, the battery puffed out and the ESC burned up after a mild run. A couple of emails and some detailed photos of the faulty equipment produced free replacement parts and battery(30 day warranty on electronics) with no questions asked, and shipped out the same day! Thank you Venom Group. I am just getting back into RC and there are a lot of choices to be made. I wasn't sure between buggy or short course so this choice worked for me. Plus it comes with a LiPo battery. I have a nicer balancing charger but the one that comes with it is ok. The Atomik website has all the parts and some hop ups too. The truck goes about 35 mph+ . Plenty fast for me plus it's still controllable at speed.
