I bought this car for my Grandson's first birthday, knowing he couldn't drive it, but also intrigued by the remote control capability, which, I assumed his parents could use to drive him around until he was old enough to drive it himself. I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED! That's exactly what they did and it worked great! My grandson loves riding in it - and, frankly, IT IS SO COOL!
Everything adverised about it works as indicated - including the MP3 internal speakers. It does require 2 AA batteries for the steering-wheel sound buttons, which are not included. The 9V for the remote is included.
There was a significant amount of assembly involved - I would suggest putting it together before gifting it, since it takes a while. Not complicated, just time-consuming. But worth every minute.
This vendor delivered in less than half the time advertised. I was very pleased with that.
The car will drive for a long time (more than 1 1/2 hours, maybe more than 2) on a single charge.
The car's design is even cuter than it looks in the picture. Headlights light up when it's moving, too.
One caution: the power drive is on the left rear wheel. You cannot drive the care remotely without about 21 pounds in the seat, to provide traction. Otherwise, the car pulls to the right. But if your child is over 21 pounds, he/she will provide enough weight to give the car even traction on most every surface - inside (carpet, hardwood floor) or outside (driveway, asphalt, short grass).
Really, really worth the $160 from Amazon. (Even with the additinal $30 shipping).

I like this car. It not only is great for kids to do independently, the remote control makes it great for parents to control where the kids go. I was able to put my 2 years old and 4 year old in it. They had all sorts of fun. My only recommendation is to move the on/off shift to a different location. It is too convenient for the kids to turn the shift on and off thus lossing control of the remote. One other recommendation is being able to apply your own identification or monogram sticker to the car. There is an "S" on the rear panel - so it appears an identifier.
Other than those small recommendations, I would highly recommend this as a first power car for your kids.

I got this car for my nephew it came with a wrong part so we had to order a new one and when it arrived we set it up it looked very nice my nephew loved it the problem is the remote control doesn't work right it does not respond with the car at all it would just go sideways its terrible! just a waist of money the same day we got it we left it in the closet for a week and then sold it. I do not recommend it. Just a waist of money.
